Sydienite Culture
Religion/Beliefs:
The Sydienite believe in a multitude of Gods, but they have one main deity:
- Abathur : God of Justice
Under him are his three brothers and his wife who all, except Haurvatat, are widely worshiped.
- Haurvatat : God of Choas
- Ahura Mazda : God of Wisdom
- Drvaspa : Goddess of Women and Marraige
- Hvar : God of Men
There are also several lesser gods
- Hvarekhshaeta : God of the Sun
- Aesma : God of Rage and Conflict
- Atar : God of Prosperity
- Baga : God of Honesty
- Desma : God of the Underworld
- Agas : Goddess of Wisdom
- Daena: Goddess of Friendship
- Izha : Goddess of Love
- Drug : Goddess of the Moon
Under the gods there are a few holier beings
- Drva : Children of Drvaspa. Commonly know as Werewolves. In legend, they are mostly women, but there are a few men.
- Myriad : The counter part of the Drva created by Hauravatat. These are the most evil kind of werewolves who kill mercilessly and destroy all they can. In legend, they are most commonly referred to as me, but there are a few women.
- Daeva : These are demons. They personify things such as illness, madness and lust
The Sydienite are very religious and temples are found everywhere.
Upbringing:
The up ring of children carries differently across genders and classes.
In most lower classes, children go uneducated. Boys stay at home to help work whilst girls are trained up to be good wives so that they may marry well and bring fortune upon the family.
In higher classes, boys are educated but girls still are not. They, again, are trained to be good wives and are used to make favorable connections.
Along all glasses, some young girls and boys are donated to the temples to serve as priests and priestesses. Boy are most commonly given to the temple of Abathur and girls to Drvaspa.
Fashion:
Throughout the Sydienite empire, fashion tends to be very constant. Bright colors, particularly reds blues and oranges, are very popular, but very expensive. Poorer people often wear more muted versions of these populace colors. Purple is reserved for royalty.
Women are not permitted to have their hair uncovered in public. Many cover it with elaborate veils and headdresses.
